TASK STEPS:

1. DEADLINE: Thursday 14th November. Your first task is to create a text or story with at least 4-5 sentences (one per member), using a number of given words and related to the theme: WATER.

WORDS: water, evaporation or to evaporate, cloud, drop, droplet, rain, hail, snow, fog, dew, river, beach, sea, ocean, to condense, lake,  precipitation, plant, canal, reservoir, wave, to drink, drought, flood, water pollution.

INSTRUCTIONS: You have to use at least 12 of these words in your story, there is no maximum; it is not important if you use them in singular or plural, or in different forms of the verb… you can repeat them as many times as you need.

2. WEEK FROM 18 TO 21TH NOVEMBER-> Time to ask me doubts about pronunciation and practicing in class) Your second task is to check the correct pronunciation and practice reading the text. Each one should have one sentence.

3. You will make the speech on Wednesday 27th November. Your third task is giving a speech all together to the rest of the class, so you have to learn your sentence and recite it for us. Teacher will be recording your performance.

4. We will watch them Thursday 28th NovemberFinally, we will watch all your performances in class and we will decide which one is the best. We will take into account: how much original is the story, how well the actors recite, how is the pronunciation, and the final result.

So there will be a winner team!

This is a group work (it counts for your works marks), and I’ll appreciate originality, correctness, creativity, participation from every member group, behavior, fluently in speaking, good pronunciation, and in particular that you will be doing your best!

Prestige oil spill - Galicia 2002

The Prestige oil spill was an oil spill off the coast of Galicia caused by the sinking of an oil tanker in 2002. The spill polluted thousands of kilometers of coastline and more than one thousand beaches on the Spanish, French and Portuguese coast, as well as causing great harm to the local fishing industry. The spill is the largest environmental disaster in the history of both Spain and Portugal.

Un resumen de las bases del concurso:

• El objeto del certamen es la realización de una pieza audiovisual de máximo 3 minutos.
• El contenido de la obra deberá estar centrado en los niños y las niñas soldados. Sugerimos que las obras traten algunos de los siguientes temas:
• Reclutamiento.
• Derecho a la educación.
• Rehabilitación.
• Niñas soldados.
• El tratamiento estilístico y el género de la obra será libre, siempre que se respete la temática del certamen. (Podrán hacerse obras documentales, de fcción, animaciones, videoclips musicales, etc).

Las obras deberán reunir una serie requisitos. La ausencia de alguno de ellos será motivo de no selección en el certamen. Estos son:
• El contenido de la obra deberá estar centrado en los niños y las niñas soldados.
• Las obras presentadas deberán ser originales y no haber sido publicadas en ningún medio ni premiadas anteriormente.

• En el caso de que exista locución y/o rotulación deberán presentarse preferentemente en lengua castellana.
• Las obras deberán tener una licencia Creative Commons CC BY. Todos los contenidos propiedad de terceros utilizados en la pieza audiovisual deberán disponer de licencias de uso y difusión pública compatibles con la licencia Creative Commons CC BY.


Criterios a valorar por el jurado
• En la selección de las obras que opten a premio, el jurado valorará los siguientes criterios por orden de prioridad:
• Visibilidad en la obra de la vulneración de derechos humanos que sufren los niños y niñas soldados.
• El nivel de implicación del alumnado en la realización de la obra.
• La originalidad del planteamiento narrativo.
• La calidad técnica y artística de la obra.


Premios
En las obras admitidas, todos los alumnos y alumnas participantes disfrutarán de:
• Un certifcado acreditativo de participación.
• La difusión de sus obras en el canal de Youtube de Amnistía Internacional.

El jurado realizará una selección entre las obras admitidas a concurso y hará entrega de los siguientes premios:
• Primer premio: el centro galardonado recibirá una visita de un grupo de personas, miembros de Amnistía Internacional y personas expertas en menores soldados. El alumnado participante recibirá un pack de materiales de Amnistía Internacional.
• Dos premios accésit: el alumnado participante recibirá un pack de materiales de Amnistía Internacional.
Los premios del certamen recibirán difusión a través de la revista de Amnistía Internacional, la web de la Red de Escuelas y las redes sociales.
