WORDS: water, evaporation or to evaporate, cloud, drop, droplet, rain, hail, snow, fog, dew, river, beach, sea, ocean, to condense, lake, precipitation, plant, canal, reservoir, wave, to drink, drought, flood, water pollution.
INSTRUCTIONS: You have to use at least 12 of these words in your story, there is no maximum; it is not important if you use them in singular or plural, or in different forms of the verb… you can repeat them as many times as you need.
2. Your second task is to check the correct pronunciation and practice reading the text. Each one should have one sentence to read.
3. Your third task is giving a speech all together to the rest of the class, so you have to learn your sentence and recite it for us. Teacher will be recording your performance.
4. Finally, we will watch all your performances in class and we will decide which one is the best. We will take into account: how original is the story, how well the actors perform, how good is the pronunciation, and the final result.

So there will be a winner team!

This is a group work (it counts for your work marks), and I’ll appreciate originality, correctness, creativity, participation from every member group, behavior, fluently in speaking, good pronunciation, and in particular that you will be doing your best!

Terms Unit 1

I remind you that terms are valued 2 points of your exams, and it also counts as part as your daily work (it is your homework to define them).

Interesting websites that could help you defining... (although the most of them are clearly defined on the book! and that is the easiest way...)

HOW TO DO IT: To define a concept, you should try to answer as much questions as possible: what is it? when was it? or when did he/she live? how does it work? what is its function? where is it?... Theese questions depend on the type of term... different questions should be used depending on if it is a person, an event, or an object...
Another tip is not using the same word you are defining...

Here you have the first terms...

Unit 1 terms:

Globe
Map
Geoid
Cardinal points
Compass
Meridian
Parallel
Equator
Geographical coordinates
Latitude
Longitude
